Five minutes of news is all it takes during this political season to be reminded how much unresolved conflict we live with in this world.  This often leaves us feeling helpless and overwhelmed.  If we have different views from our family or friends, this can add to the stress and conflict we feel around us.

If you are feeling discouraged, sad, or triggered by the news in recent weeks, it can be helpful to reduce your TV time. Watch less, do more. Volunteer, connect, meet up. If you are motivated for change, find a way to contribute to an important cause to help you feel empowered.  If you are feeling the weight of past trauma, connect to a local support group during these weeks to support your voice and healing.
